Ambyr Hylton is an American writer of Jamaican dougla heritage born and raised in Miami, Florida and currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Although her primary fields are poetry and creative nonfiction, she dabbles every now and again in literary fiction and has a tenuous dream of one day penning a Great American Novel. Her creative writing works have garnered her recognition by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. When she is not working on her craft, she enjoys reading classic literature, teaching herself piano, studying foreign languages, exercising, and working as a math instructor. She aspires to enter college soon and pursue a bachelor's degree in physics with the goal of someday working for NASA.
